Over the last couple of weeks, John has not been able to use his water purifying pump because it was leaking.  Having only received occasional emails, it was difficult to ascertain the exact problem.  

With this limited information we visited Blacks in Manchester where he bought the pump.  The Store Manager, Lee, was extremely helpful and tried to explain what could be going wrong.  He gave us step by step instructions that we quickly emailed to John.  

We also contacted the manufacturers, Katadyn, who also kindly gave us clear guidelines for John to follow.

On 15th February, John emailed us to say that the pump was now working!!  

This experience was particularly difficult for John and us as we were obviously extremely worried.  We would like to thank Lee at Blacks, Deansgate Manchester, for all his advice and guidance.  He went out of his way to help us and we are really grateful.

We would definitely recommend anyone who is thinking of following in John's footsteps to visit Blacks first!
